iPRF, Bio Filler & PRP Treatments – Grantham

Long-Lasting Rejuvenation
iPRF’s fibrin matrix releases growth factors gradually, providing a sustained boost to collagen and elastin production over time.

Enhanced Skin Quality & Healing
iPRF contains not only platelets but also white blood cells and stem cells, which aid in tissue regeneration and healing.

Hair Restoration
Delivers concentrated growth factors directly to the scalp, which stimulate hair follicles, increase blood flow, and promote new hair growth.
iPRF, Bio Filler & PRP
iPRF (Injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin) and PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) treatments are regenerative aesthetic therapies that use components from a client’s own blood to stimulate healing, boost collagen production, and rejuvenate the skin. Both treatments harness natural growth factors found in the blood to encourage tissue repair and improve skin quality.
Blood is taken from the client and spun in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelets, growth factors, and cytokines in the plasma. These platelets release growth factors when injected or microneedled into the skin (our expert, Level 7 Qualified Practitioners will advice you on this), which stimulates collagen and elastin production and promotes cellular regeneration.
Should I Book iPRF or PRP?
Generally we would recommend iPRF (Injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin) because it is spun at a slower speed than PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma). This slower centrifugation allows a portion of the white blood cells and stem cells to remain in the plasma along with the platelets, creating a fibrin matrix that releases growth factors more gradually.

1. Blood Collection
- A small amount of blood is drawn from the client.
2. Processing
- The collected blood is placed in a centrifuge, which spins at a specific speed to separate its components.
3. Formation of Fibrin Matrix
- The centrifugation process allows the formation of a three-dimensional fibrin matrix, which consists of platelets, white blood cells, and fibrin.
- This matrix can trap and concentrate growth factors, cytokines, and other proteins that facilitate healing and tissue regeneration.
4. Injection
- The iPRF is then injected directly into the treatment area or microneedling is used.
5. Healing and Regeneration
- Once injected, the growth factors released from the platelets in the iPRF stimulate the body’s natural healing processes.
- This can lead to increased collagen production, improved blood supply, and enhanced tissue repair, resulting in rejuvenated skin or improved hair density.
During your consultation a detailed medical history will be taken, helping the practitioner to determine whether treatment is an appropriate product/treatment for you to receive and whether it will help you achieve the results that you are looking for. This will also reduce the risk of any unwanted side effects from the treatment. During this consultation the potential risks and aftercare recommendations are discussed.
- Start taking an over the counter anti-histamine one week prior to treatment and continue to take until one week post treatment.
- Drink at least 2-3 litres of water in the days leading up to treatment as hydration is crucial to obtaining a good result because, dermal filler relies on drawing water to the treated cells, helping you get the full filler augmentation effects.
- Do prep your skin. Prior to treatment, make sure to look after your skin and keep it in the best condition. Moisturise and avoid damaged pores.
- Do use sun cream, pre-and-post treatment, to protect your skin.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours pre-and post treatment.
- For a week before and after the procedure, avoid blood thinners such as aspirin, Ibuprofen and Vitamin E, as well as certain food supplements such as fish oil, liquorice, garlic, ginger, ginkgo and green tea.
- Avoid sun and heat exposure
Make sure you’ve allowed for enough downtime after the procedure. If you’re having the neck treated, you may wish to bring a scarf with you. Be aware that, for the best results more than one treatment is necessary. If you still have questions about this treatment please contact us on 01476 849 341
- You will be made comfortable on a treatment couch whilst maintaining privacy and dignity.
- Your practitioner will check through your consent forms and medical history.
- You will be then handed a mirror to discuss your requirements from the procedure.
- The treatment area will be cleansed.
The skin will be cleansed, and appropriate dressings or pre-treatment applied.
The results last for 6 to 12 months but regular top-up sessions will allow you to continually see the benefits.
